1941 GMC Fire Truck 1:24 Scale Die-Cast Vehicle

The 1941 GMC Fire Truck actually exists and was photographed at a GM facility in Michigan. GM had it fully restored to its original condition, which was to be on duty as an active part of the GM fire department. Although GM built the chassis and cab, General Fire Truck Corp. of Detroit was responsible for the actual construction of the balance. This was normal policy, as fire vehicles were custom designed with specific features for different localities. There have been other models of this cab and chassis design that have 4-doors or 2-doors and enclosed cabs, depending on the purchasers' needs. This model is equipped with a Federal Signal rotating beacon, ladders, hoses, hand extinguishers and CO2 suppression for chemical fires. Measures approximately 10 inches long.
